To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Blue Note Records, multi-Grammy Award-winning
trumpeter and Blue Note artist Terence Blanchard returns to the Center with his
quintet for the first time in three years.

Grammy Award-winning jazz trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard
"combines a love for the music of his native New Orleans with modern hard bop and a
spirit of innovation" (NPR). Appearing on more than 29 albums and composing for films
by such directors as Spike Lee and George Lucas, Blanchard's work spans 30 years.
A riveting live performer, bandleader, and composer, he returns to the Kennedy Center
with his quintet for the 75th anniversary celebration of Blue Note Records.
