Kenny Wheeler Tribute at The Royal Room

The Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble is a 12-15 piece band featuring Seattle's finest and most innovative improvisers under the direction of composer Wayne Horvitz. The RRCME performs Mr. Horvitz's compositions in a loosely constructed format which uses a combination of on-the-spot (re)arranging and various other techniques, some of which have come to be known as "conduction".

Trumpeter Ingrid Jensen and saxophonist Steve Treseler pay tribute to the life, leagcy, and music of the great Kenny Wheeler (1930 - 2014). Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table.
